obx rear lower tierod brace

I bought the obx rear lower tierod brace they offer for the 99 up galants. Does anyone have one already? how good does it look, ive only seen a picture of it but it wasent on a car. also did it help at all?

I saw it at www.importpartsplus.com for $79.95 I had a local shop order it for me, it should be here be Monday. I got the silver one, it also comes in red and blue.

we dont have to take off our stock sway bar right? if we want to install this on our 8g ?

Does the Galant have independant rear suspesnion? Would this thing do anything if it doesnt'?

I installed my brace today, it looks real good and the brace is pretty well built its thick and kinda heavy. I think its worth the $$ Anyone else have one?

Hmmmm....This won't affect the Sway bar will it? Someone speak up I will order mine tonight if it doesn't and alos is this the same as the rear chasis brace like Dr. Design is offering the kit for?

Hey Laz, I'm a little confused myself about this tie rod. It's definitely different from a sway bar, but I don't see where it would install.

Hey Rick, do you have any pics? By looking at this pic of my Galant, can you point out where it bolts on?

I'm confused myself now. I see your picture and I see where your Sway bat is and from the looks of the tie rod bar it looks like it would mount near the sway bar. What I am thinking is it may be the rear chasis Brace on what you have from Dr.Design

No, it's not the same as the Dr. Design kit either.

I did take pics of every single thing ive ever done to my car but i dont have them in my computer and the hell if i can figure it out anyways.
As far as the tie rod brace its easy to install and it dosent affect or get in the way of anything. In the pic from DANGERDANJ if you see the single bolt on both sides just about where the jack stands are, thats where this brace bolts up to on the back side. Not to mention its looks bad ass if you are behind the car a little bit you can see it.

ok of all that ordered this Bar who has actually gotten it? I ordered mine on the 20th and it's still not here. I talked ot the guy and see seems like a good guy but I am just a littel anxious to get it since I ordered it almost a 3 weeks ago. I know he said he had to wait for them to get in stock but this is rediculous because when I talked to him like 2 weeks ago he said he would be expecting them the next day. For those that did get them how long did they take to come in?

OK I talked to the Guy and He says that he is STILL expecting the bars anyday which sounds like a crock maybe he is but he's been expecting them everyday for 3 weeks now they aren't RPW Headers :roll: But I let him know that We Galant owners are getting antsy about it and He says he will get ahold of the OBX people and see what's up.

yea my girl got intouch with them via email and they said that there office was close from feb 24 through march 7 which is around when the time she order it for me so that could be an other reason for the delay

OK I talked to dyde again today. Well OBX has shipped the Bars off to him, Even though they shipped them off like 2 months ago......Anyways He says they shoud be there tuesday and he ships them off Same day. So By the End of Next week, Monday at the Latest. You should have your Bars.. So By Tuesday if you don't have them then get ahold of " importpartsplus "
on AOL or on their site and see what's going on

ok for those who ordered The bars have came in. they came in Yesturday and were shipped today VIA UPS. Check your email and or account with importpartsplus.com ('http://importpartsplus.com') to confirm that your bar was shipped.

Chip I asked them if they ordered extras for those who ordered the bars late, and I haven't got a response yet. If you have a confirmation then they probably did. But if not then I will call them and ask when they should "expect" the new shipment to come in.
