I set them up to all 2's on mine. That setting is perfect for me.

I've played with this several times and here are my thoughts: (All AGX with Sprint Springs)

Initial Setup: 2 Front 1 Rear on 18" wheels with decent rubber
Fairly comfortable and more responsive than stock

Second Setup: 2 Front 2 Rear on 18" wheels with decent rubber
More consistent chasis reponse all around yet faster tire wear in the rear due to some camber

Third Setup: 2 Front 2 Rear on 16" stock steelies with cheap rubber
Pothole friendly because of the tires but handling was poor due to cheaper rubber and more sidewall to flex under stress

Fourth Setup: 3 Front 2 Rear on 16" stock steelies with cheap rubber
Front end was very stiff yet handling did improve over the previous setup- probably gave the front axle a fair beating over time though

Current Setup: 2 Front 2 Rear on 17" Eclipse wheels with decent rubber
Ride comfort is excellent when cruising especially on the highway. Bumps and holes can be rough but it may be due to my car's age. Handling is superb compared to stock; I can accelerate through sharp curves on local roads, stop shorter, and hold the inside lane of a full roundabout at 40/45 with ease. You can feel the road under you, but as a driver, that's what I want.

When lowered, the tighter suspension tends to move the whole car with road variations, as opposed to just the wheels and suspension shifiting to provide cabin comfort and stability.

Control of the car and knowing what it's capable of is important. If you aren't going with coilovers the AGX with almost any spring and 17" wheels will offer you the best handling for the buck. A setting of 4 may be for track only, whereas 2 and sometimes 3 is great for daily driving. 1 is great for comfort but may be too bouncy with a lowered car.

The H techs only have a 1.1 inch drop in the front and a .9 inch drop in the back, I'd go with the S techs. They have a lower drop and I have never heard any complaints about them.

for the 8g there is a little flat head screwdriver it comes with. The top of the strut has a circle with 4 quadrants and an indicator of what stiffness it is set to. You take the screw driver and push down on the circle, then turn. DON'T just turn.

oh and for me the rears are set at 2 and my passengers always complain about the ride. the fronts i have yet to put in. oh and I'm running progress springs
