94 ES: Check Engine.

Hi..

I have 94 Galant ES w/ 128K and a "Check Engine" staring me in the face. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif I've taken the car to Autozone, but apparently they can only check 96 or newer Mits.. I found a way to determine the code with a Honda Civic online, but I've been unable to find anything for my Galant.

Any ideas?

Hopefully someone else posts a response to this, I remember there was a year where you could read the code by turning the key from ACC to Start back and forth 3 times, the CE light will flash out the error code then. But I dont remember what year or exactly how to do it, or maybe it was an eclipse not galant.

you either need a generic scan tool, or the better way is to use the Mistu scan tool.
theyre the only ways that will be of any help.
