i'm having trouble taking the rear coilovers out!! i took the 17mm bolt out behind the spindle, then i took the 2 14mm on top of the mount, the struts wont drop, i thing the bottom where the 17mm was is rusted on, i been trying to hit it with a hammer but nothing still.... any tips??

it should just fall out....

hmmm... try wedging a screwdriver in between the strut and where it bolts to and tap it with a hammer. see if you can pry it off.

It seriously only took me 20 mins to install my two rear coilovers after I figured out how to remove the bolt with an adjustable wrench. the right side took about 15 mins then the left side took about 5.

try compressing the knuckle a little to get the downward tension off of the bottom of the strut.

spray, some pb blaster or wd40 to lube it and use a bfh to hit it off.

is there a how to on the coilovers... i searched and came up with nothing... once you take the 17mm out, the spindle is still being held in by something right? or should it just fall down??

the spindle will stay there hanging from the car. seriously once the top mount bolts are off and the 17mm all that should come out is the strut assembly.

use a rubber mallet, if the bolt was rusted then the strut is probably rusted to the part it sits on. they sell some stuff at autozone called rust off that works pretty well... i would recommend heat as a last resort but its up to you... try and rubber mallet or hammer and a piece of wood between it and the strut and go to town.
