Let's say I went to a junkyard looking for some nice wheels. Which cars would be my best bet?

if your in the states your looking for wheels with stud pattern of 5x114.3 , If you own a Eurospec/JDM galant. probably 4x114.3 but maybe 5x114.3 as well depending on the year.

Eclipses fit your car but why go to a wrecker to look for wheels?

under 250, I would try craigslist. Thats the only place your might find a whole set for that.

Well, don't by wheels at a junkyard for starters.

Good luck. Even on Craiglist, they aren't going to look great. More than likely they will have curb rash or one out of the set will be bent.

why not? $30 a wheel and you inspect the wheel.

Exactly. That is the problem, you also have no idea the actual condition of the wheel. It could have major runout issues. Not worth the $30 imo.

you can buy my old wheels
they have some curb rash and one tire has a small non-airleaking tear in it but theres plenty of thread left
ill let it go for 250 even

If you decide to go to the junk yard I would look on the site posted by Boosted and print all cars that have similar offsets and the 5x 114.3 bolt pattern. But remember when you go the the junk yard if you pick up 4 aftermarket wheels u will be fine if the are the bolt pattern and offset as they usually have a universal centric bore. Stock wheels you need a centric bore of I believe its 67.3mm or bigger to fit our cars. Cars with smaller centric bores rims will not fit without being modified which can fuck up the integrity of the wheels. Cars with a larger centric bore it is recommended you get hub rings unless you torque it to stock specs and do lug centric wheels. Hub centric balances better and the rings are like 9.00 for a set.

Got my rims from a guy who owned a Lexus IS300 and I have hub rings on it. Love them.

found some rims that I'm told fit but they have like 16 different sizes, width and offsets. I know I an buy spacers/adapters to counter any problems but I'd rather just know whats a good size and width to go with

Well size depends on you. You can fit many sizes but the widest you can go without modifying your fenders is 225 on the tires which is i believe an 8.5in wheel at most but you should probably stick to 8'' wide at most and an offset of around 40 unless you roll your fenders and you want an offset between 38-45 its called FWD offset even though some awd and rwd will use it. I used to have 215/40/18 on my car u can fit 215/45/18 which is a better size or 225/40/18 I am currently running 225/45/17 on my car in my sig they were 215/45/17

What I am looking at is 18 x 7.5, 5-114.3, 48mm OFFSET. If those cant fit without rolling I'm abandoning the idea in favor of 17s

should fit fine ask around i think the offset could be a little too high

Just get a set of wheels from an evo or a 3G eclipse and call it a day.
