Small mod

Well I liked the idea of the self dimming mirror in my brothers caddy so I snagged one from the junkyard. Now the 8G has one, it took about 20 minutes for installation. Thoughts?

Does it actually dim? Also which caddy did you skulk it from?

Yes it actually dims. I pulled the one I have from a 99 olds bravada, although the caddy one did fit fine also.

sweet. I like it. I never dim my mirror though for whatever reason I prefer to be able to see everything behind me, but my windows are fairly dark.

No damage, removed it properly and it fit right on the galants mount. I hooked the dimmer (power) wire into the accessory cig lighter wire and the ground wire is going to a body bolt in the fuse box area.

I love it already. The only complaint I have is that it has a little bit more shake than the stock mirror when the bass hits.

nice mod, dimming mirrors FTW. Thats one option that Dodge put in the Stratus that Mitsu failed to leave out in the Eclipse/Galant Platform. Very nice option, mine stays on all the time.
