I moved to Vegas May 3rd 1988 the day before this great explosion. I did not go to school since it was close to the end of the year so I got to stay home. I was in the pool laying on my raft then this happened. It blew out our garage door into the street and broke all the windows in our house. Our house was about 4 miles from the blast zone.

The company moved to Cedar City, UT in the middle of nowhere.

The area is now an automall mostly and some warehousing.
