:067:Hey Guys! my god its keta again:orangesourgrapes:

Ok, we are almost done with the conversion. The headlights are flush with the fender and the hood. I dont have my old style grille to make sure eveything is good but I still have a half sagging bumper. The left side is flush but the right still has a gap on it. The jdm vrg fogs, (ignorant question) but will i just buy h3 bulbs and it will be plug and play? we had to shave the bumper opening alittle to make the fogs fit because of the frame (we already shaved a decent amount) but now it looks good. One more thing :lovestory:
My old style skirts!! we already trimmed the clips on the inside and everything should attach perfect but. Please see my pictures, any thoughts from all of you is gathered and appreciated! thanks!!!!

Will i have to shave my headlight clip? (that black plastic part near the bumper whole) i think that is the reason why the bumper is sagging.

yes, if you searched before you bought the VRG bumper it was an clearly known fact you cant retain your stock crash bar. Maybe the shop can make you a after market bar so little help incase you get into a fender bender.

Shaving the crash bar would only work for a old/new style vr4 bumpers.

yep just have them cut the current bar at the posts and then weld on a piece of skinnier/less wide metal, if they have nthing go to metal scrap place and provide it for them

The crash bar has to be 50% has thing, and half as tall. I've tested my VRG before, and seen the JDM crash bar. You may as well just make a custom tubular crash bar that fits behind the VRG bumper, or just buy a second crash bar and cut it. Basically the bottom half of the crash bar has to be cut off, plus the 45 degree cut on the end caps.

until you make the heads flush the grill will not fit.you will have to bend over the ac line on the pass side carefully without breaking it. it may also help if you set the radiator braket back one boltso theres a little more room for the initial fitting.

other then those minor things for making some room, it just cut and fit and repeat until it sits flush. it should also be flush with the hood

once you work out the heads the grill will line up well, the only problem i forsee with the new style grill however is, i know the vrg has an edge along the bumper, generally it gets an old style or naturally a vrg grill which sits behind that lip. the lip may push up on the grill and you may have to shave it down to have the grill sit flush. i dont remember exactly where that lip on the bumper is placed though so it may not be a problem either if the grill can clear it

the way the new style grill is shaped interferes with the VRG bumper, you're gonna need an old style or a ZA grill, if you want to trade me for my old style grill I'll ship it out right away.

O YEAH the headlights will overlap. Mine does that too, its mainly cause the bumper has to be pulled back more. if the bumper wasnt hitting anything and you were able to pull it back some more without having it be so tight us USDM VRG guys wouldnt have this issue and first time seeing a new style on with the VRG bumper, I highly doubt that would work. Mainly cause of the bottom lip the grill.

but yeah bro you'll have to mess with it to get it the way you want, its not going to be prefect you will have "some" gaps.

the fogs are h3, do you have the bumper support back there? if not that will probroblly be the solution to your sagging problem.

the old style skirts will be a bitch to get on though you have to cut and trim. then fit and repeat. i couldnt tell you exactly where since when i had them on my old galant i didnt finish them before i traded for this one.

i suggest talking to stewi and o1galant01 since i know the 2 of them have the old style skirts installed and are very flush from myself personally seeing thier cars

To me, looks like you cut way to much off the lip of the skirt.

Here is the lip on my skirt:

Do you have any full pics of the skirts?
