Well, after owning and building DSMs for 7 years. I finally had to sell my baby and move on to something more reliable to get me to my last couple semesters of college.

And thus, I introduce my new Galant. Originally I wanted to get something newer but I found this gem and couldn't pass it up.
2001 Galant ES (v6) with 57k on the odometer.
Carfaxed to be a single owner locally who had it serviced at the local Mitsu dealer regularly and has never been crashed.

I hope to see an active community here like I experienced in the DSM world with DSMtuners.

Also, if anybody knows of any good local Galant sites in UT, I would appreciate the info.

You got rid of the DSM? For the Galant? J/K

DSMs are just like every other car. They leak, they break, they need maintenance. Stop trying to make them faster and they don't break as easy ;)

The interior is flawless. Stock everything, non smoker, no stains, no rips, and still smells like a new car.

Welcome to the site!

There are two very fast and unique Galants in Utah, definitely the right state to be in. I'm glad you didn't pass this car up, it looks like it just came out of the factory. Buy the super clean white 7G for sale in another thread right now and you have the perfect pair...

Thanks guys!

I don't think I will be doing much at all performance wise on this vehicle.
Just a few aesthetics I would like to take care of such as the wheels.

Also, what is that black deflector looking thing some of you have on your back window?

This is an EGR Rear Window Visor. Many members picked them up long ago through a group buy. Some may be used and floating around for sale, but they are somewhat difficult to come by in new condition. There is also a JDM Rear Window Visor which has a more inward shape as opposed to the shelf style of the EGR. Expect to pay between $80 and $200 for either of these...

Welcome to TGC!

You picked up a nice car...8g's are solid cars and look very good at that. Many things you could do to a 8g performance and asthetically. I am sure you will find out once you situate yourself here.
