225/45/18 i know i know!

i have been searching for days but i can not get a clear answer anywhere. i just picked up free set of motegi wheels, right now i am not sure of the offset but i am curious. will 225/45/18 rub in a stock 8g with no drop i know people do not like the way it looks and it will throw my speedo off but i figure a few more MM. of cushion will help if i can fit it. i have no plans on a drop just my system and the wheels. i drive to and from work and around town with my kids. any help would be useful thank you.

Will fit fine. Roughly the same diameter as the 245/45-17's I run. You may rub a little during full travel, you may not. It's really hard to say. I don't, but my suspension is stiff as hell.

I concur with TJ, I'm running the same size tire as him as well, on the same suspension basic suspension setup, and I don't rub, you'll be fine @ stock height

Depends on wheel offset, more than likely you will rub based on what I know Motegi wheel offsets to generally be (usually around +40mm).

we really need to know offset to give you a definitive answer. if the offset is reasonable (+46mm to +40mm) and you are at stock height you have a good chance of not rubbing, but again, offset (as well as wheel width < 8.0") are the determining factors.

thanks everyone i will try and get the offset tomorrow, i have tried to look them up on the web site but they must be old. on one of the spokes it has a small plate, i think it says MR but i do not recall, i will try and get the info and get back to you guys, i appreciate all the help.

ok i actually just found the info online and here it is . the wheels are Motegi MR7's

size 18x7.5 offset +45 weight(why not right) 27.5 .

Please help i need tires asap right now i have a set of tiburon wheels on my 8g they look ghetto, the kid i got them from tried to paint them and it looked like he changed his mind. Thanks guys. By the way i think i am gonna paint them. Unsure what color though. 8g is northstar white, i am thinking either a dark bronze or gust a silver with a metalic clear. Tell me what ya think.
