Oh, and we'll probably do a mini cruise around park area and get it filmed via Gran Turismo style videos. Only difference is that I'm gonna select someone to film and get the footage transfered to hard drive so we could produce a video (within a week lol)

As you all well aware I'm in guard training during that weekend and the only open window would be around 5pm Saturday. Therefore, I handed all planning to ADExternal for this meet.....

That was 2 weeks ago.....

Okay, he never updated any of this and people were starting to wonder.....

Well, here's an update.....

According to what he told me on the phone nobody was responding to the thread (???) so he decides to cancel the meet. I could of sworn Ricky, Rez, Heather, and people from Club3g expressed interest during those past weeks. This is major fail to F. I never had to cancel a meet unless if it's weather related (Hurricane IKE/KATRINA), another event overlapse it (HIN Dallas), or some discreat emergency. This was neither. I can't believe a meet never happening all because I or James is not gonna be present. What kind of crap is that? Since when was G-spot and Silver01G heart and soul of TGC? What about the other guys and gals that made the past meet possible? This show needs to go on whether or not a few people may or may not show. I hate planning meets around my schedule because it conflicts other's schedule as well. This ain't my meet, it's our meet, let's keep it that way.

If it ain't happening I'll send in an experienced member like Pedro or Tim to plan this out.

The meet is on the 18th of July on a Saturday. Like the Austin Meet we had, first meet up is at Walmart Supercenter at 1:30pm. til around 2:10pm. We're gonna wait for everyone to join up. Food wise, we can do three options:

1) Everyone brings something and make a list.
2) Everyone can just pitch in 5$ like Austin's Meet
3) We can all swing by somewhere and gets some food then bring it to the park.

Then have a 10-15mins cruise to the park. Im gonna bring a canopy so we can get some shade, just bring folding chairs or a towel to sit on. Gonna eat, relax, talk, reminance the nature atmosphere, some football and pictures/video shots around the park.

Then there is a houston meet that night at 8pm. We can leave the park at 7:30, cruise to a car-wash. The houston meet is not that far from the park.

I see where your coming from Pete, being adults / young adults. I believe that any of us can handle themself and that one person would not ruin a meet. If things get out of hands, of course, i know its would be my responsibilty to set things straight. Here's what I suggest:
To avoid the craziness is to avoid it alltogether. Sooner or later it will go away and life will find a way. If you are so interested in bringing him here why don't you setup a GFtx chapter and setup your own meets. You've got plenty of GF members from Tx browsing there and it wouldn't hurt to make personal meets within the community. Plus, you seem to be a big figure head over there which could help promote meets easier. That would make it easier for him or anyone else interested. Once again, it's just a suggestion.

It seems like your not giving anyone new a chance just because they made multiple mistakes in the beginning. If I remember correctly Pete. Marlon and I made our set of mistakes but you were still supportive to a certain extent. It seems like, it has more to do with Katalina then Zac himself.

I didnt know ANYONE, it was my first time meeting everyone. i only knew everyone threw seeing photos on TGC, GF or Cardomain. i too use to think small things were the shit, some of yall remember i was sporting my hype white and JDM yellow foglight bulbs with pride, lol. which i am glad to say i got rid of. cleared corners, and riding on 18's, but my car was nuthing compared to the guys i knew then. and i respect that! Its something you grow out of just some of us aint hit that point yet...

Pete lets just see how this meet turns out with or without you. now that us OG's are getting older and are starting to have more responsibilities, WE (as older members) should let our newbees start doing the work, lol. so we can just seat back and chill.

I'm not going to race her (I didn't even race the first one so IDK where you got that idea from). Why would I put in danger the car I promised to take care of. I'm actually not a bad driver..

But back on topic, yes, I will be going to this meet. Whether or not you decide to come because of my is completely your decision. I plan on going there to have a fun and relaxing day (in spite of the people that don't like me). I'm not going to start anything, or to try to prove myself to anybody. If you go up there, I will not try to butt heads with you. In fact I'd actually prefer it if you did because I do not want you to miss out on a fun evening because I'm there.

One of the most relaxed and fun meet i had in a long time. Thanks everyone for coming out and making it bad ass. Wished that more Galants came, but I held it down with Arro. Hes alot quieter in person, and is willing to learn. I give him a thumb up for being relaxed like the rest of us after been putting alot of pressure on. Over all a great success and will most definitely do it again!!
