gauges wont work!!

ok i tried installing the s7 guages and they dont work do to a missing dimmer switch.. so i tried putting my stock ones back and nothing... the dimmer doesnt work and the needles dont light up... i also notice my right tail light is out... but the bulb is fine, i tried a new one and still no right tail light, when i step on brakes it lights up but when i let go it just shuts off!!!

i need help guys... i checked fuses, connections and still nothing!! i search and this is as close as i got to my prob

yellow fuse holder in the fuse box under the hood.

Close; it's actually one of the forward fuses in that row . Check your cover. If i'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure it's a 7.5 fuse.

The inverter could be bad, too. Those are pretty notorious. If it is, replace it with this one:
