it would be cool if it would work... probibly be a nice sound, but i dont think that it is going to tuck in there very well.... it looks way too big.

why do u want that muffler?

ricky_db
06-14-2009, 08:12 PM
what kind of note does it carry?

that muffler is really tall. I think most of the bottom portion of it will be exposed.

Cool, but don't expect it to sound like a boxer.

Nah our 7Gs have a heat shroud(sort a thing, more less a plate) above of our muffler so I'm thinking of ridding that and hopefully making more room:puzzled:. I' m just going for looks since my car isn't turbo nor DOHC, just a nice clean style, no BIG ASS BUT HOLE FOR NO REASON. I'm not expecting much for the note it sings, cause it came off a STi which has close to 300 foot pounds of torque, but hopefully it will sound better than a ricey Megan muffler. *pics will be posted*

evil-G-nius
06-15-2009, 03:48 PM
the torque has nothing to do with the exhaust note. Still, depends on your supporting pipes and if you are running an intake of some sort as well. Oh and oddly enough 5 speed vs auto makes an exhaust note difference! Good luck

*edit* I went and looked at the picture...that thing will NOT fit! even if you take out the heat shield for the exhaust (which I would not recommend) I believe it shields the gas tank as well as part of the trunk. I'd get another muffler if I were you, its gonna look retarded if you do manage to get it on there

yes it is lol
Leg. Jap. 4" on tap bAby, u.s spec ha.

Once you install that muffler on the car..the 4 inch tip doesn't look that big at all IMO. I have a Blitz Nur Spec muffler on my 7g with a 4 inch tip and doesn't look that big when I had it put on.

That Greddy muffler though is pretty sweet...I am curious on the exhaust tone on the Galant though. I only heard Evo 2's on Honda's.

G-Rim, thanks for posting your picture, now i have a good taste of what iam going to be flossin as well, instead of that pointless triangle can.lol

But i need to ask you guys should I angle it or should I just tuck and keep it straight? My buddy Danny from a muffler shop is going to custom make my cat-back ex. and have the option. Oh, and another thing..our 7 g has 2 resonators after the cat. I'm SURE you guys know this allready but I'm also deleting those of course to get the most sound. Plus did I mention im getting 2 8' poles of Titanium tubing for 30$ per???

I will post pics after it gets intalled and will post a video on youtube to show you guys how it comes out.

evil-G-nius
06-19-2009, 05:56 PM
Well...Kevins looks like it is angled a bit...looks good. No sweat on the resonator delete...thats what I did and its fine. I think depending on the muffler, it wont be too loud. Good luck

if you wanted subtleness you should have gotten a vibrant performance muffler.

koji464
06-19-2009, 07:03 PM
I think I am going to angle it but not dramaticaly. I was under the impresion of subtleness before i came across the muffler i posted. Now that the game switched up now I'm in another room.

Isnt vibrant mufflers on the step of APC???lol

koji464

koji464
06-27-2009, 09:55 PM
thanks guys for the ups!!
yeah negative on the madrel bending, also the hangers its being supported on aren't looking too good either cosmeticaly, but i gave him a couple of jabs for that cause IT IS an expesive muffler even though i got it for cheap, and I ended up paying my buddy 90 bucks for the install!

Sounds nice man, nice find...what ya got planed next? Well iam planning on getting a CAI.... installing a Apexi safcii that i bought for 100$!!!, but really i want to lower the car, but i dont want a drop more than 1.8(1.8 i think is too much..IMO) any opinions on a budget freindly set up (COVERED BEFORE I KNOW)

*Once again appreciate your comments*

depends on your buget.. non adjustable is cheaper, but dont go cheap on spings.. id go gr2 with eibach prokit.. springs are like 250 shocks like 200 i think idk

i have tokico kit ilk232 for the fwd eclipse but its prolly too low for you.. i dont bottom out unless its relly bad roads and the ride is impecable.. my suspension cost me 500 and its adjustable.. heres how mine sits

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo175/Galanttuner10/theG017.jpg

i know you think 1.8 is too much but this is 1.5 for the 2g so its like 2 for us, it sits very nice no rubbing and every1 loves it

sounds good...will sound better once you get an intake of some sort...also after it breaks in. Once the muffler breaks in they get deeper...mine is real deep. My car backfires a little, but I am trying to figure it out as we speak. Here is my broken in muffler:

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b316/evil-G-nius/My%20Ride/th_MOV03519.jpg (http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b316/evil-G-nius/My%20Ride/?action=view&current=MOV03519.flv)

As far as the suspension goes, I recomend the eibachs, AGX adjustables and graphite bushings. Great handling and I never come close to bottoming out
Here is mine:

Didn't know you were filipino koji...salamat! I like the sound of the Greddy on your Galant, it doesn't sound like a 4 cyl exhaust tone, it really sounds like a V6 tone. Man the paint on your 7g is immaculate.....I am jealous.

Here is a couple of videos I did several years ago. The video gives you somewhat what my Blitz Nur Spec sounds like.
