So today I was at walmart looking for white vinyl to cover my headliner and rear deck so that they would match my doors, but while searching I found this new fabric that I fell in love with:

http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q258/AdamThe1337/IMG00325.jpg

It's checkered, the dark grey has sort of smooth leather feel, and the black squares are velvet, its awesome :D

I'm going to be redoing my doors in this as well.

What do you guys think? I think it'll match my CF radio bezel and shifter (getting matching ebrake soon)

I'll have pics up when I'm done, hopefully the next couple of days here.

I've seen that fabric at my wal-mart. Hope your windows are tinted cause its gone turn purple once the sun starts beating on it.

Cool. So this fabic is not as thick as the ones you showed us? I want to do mine but I am not in such a hurry to do them. I might do them once summer classes are done since I will have more time. Good luck with it and show us the pics when your done.
edit: i think you'll be fine since your windows are tinted. Are they darker than mine?

Yeah its gone turn colors soon or later, I learned that the hard way when I did my door panels the first time. Then I found this outdoor fabric that is made of acrylic and doesnt fade under a lot of sun.

hmmmm maybe i should return it?

What do you recommend instead?

See if there is a SunBrella store near you or a store that sells SunBrella fabric. Its made for outside use and won't fade.

I don't think its returnable.... once they cut it for you and you pay for it thats it.... I have that exact same fabric on my door panel... I've only had it on there for about 2 months now....still the same color.

That looks good, but I was asking BayAreaGalant, he said he has this material in his car as well.

Dang you are much braver than I am. I don't think I would try reupholstering. Atleast I know it can be done though cuz mine will need it. Way back when I was on here more often most people where only trying to dye the fabric they had and a few fiberglassed the whole thing. Good luck brutha
