This is the address of the manufacturer, they will need someone to drive there and let them do several test fits on the car, you don't have to be a member purchasing a trunk, but anyone who can go down there with their galant would be much appreciated. no you won't need to leave your car there all three days, you might just have to go there up to 3 days in a row to have them do several test fits, so if you're interested, I need your info asap.

update:
I already call to GT Fabrication for the test fit and tomorrow will be the first test fit so im going to take it around 11am... hope that it will work fine for u guys..!!

GT fabrication bought a oem trunk from the dealer..
so the first test fit was to make sure how this fit in our galants..
If u see the video u should think that there is a problem right closed to the rear windshield but wait guys they didnt used all the screws so thats why it looks like something was wrong but I can tell you that fit perfect (logic is a oem trunk lol)..
if u have any question feel free to ask..!!

Awesome, they were just verifying that the sucking was being done on their end and the trunk WE PAID FOR, actually is OEM and its perfect. Hopefully they gained some knowledge from this experience

mmm guys just a simple question..!!
yestarday I was driving to work and I heard a big "plaaAaan" under my car I thought that was something with the tire but I was wrong cuz I didnt feel anytrhing in my steerin wheel..... well Once I got to my work I pump the trunk and guess what..!! my trunk was heavy and didnt come out by itself so that thing under the trunk was broken and that was the noise that i heard.... does anyone know where can I get this part..!!??

Sponcar, same exact thing happened to my trunk. We thought it was a gunshot hahaha. but the clip that holds the metal torsion spring essentially exploded into a million pieces. I have yet to fix it :(

Once I opened the trunk and found that metal thing laying down over my system, I tried to put it back but I noticed that it was broken... Do u think that the loud sound system affected it????

well Today as I told u... I called to GT fabrication to see whats up..!!
and see when they want me to go to test the CF trunk..
and guess what they said that it's gonna be done in the middle of next week so probably they will call me around 23th or 24th of this month for the next test fit..!!!

damn guys I didnt know as well how these ppl from gt fabrication were playing with this group buy..... once I was on the first test fit and I saw the oem trunk... I thought that this group buy just started since those days.... mmmhh now I see that I was wrong...
I dont know how long u guys have been waiting for this thing to get done....

They have been calling me to meet them for the next test fit "with CF trunk" and then they use to call back with some excuses saying that is not ready yet.....

Man they called me like 1 or 2 weeks ago to say that they need me to get there and do the test fit that everybody is waiting for...the test fit was plained to be on october-2-009.... but around 1pm I received a call from them telling me that " we haven't done with the trunk.... so probably I'm going to call you on monday or tuesday to let you know when can you come over for the test fit.." I said " not problem man but you should call the guy whos running this group buy because im not on it.. just to let them know that nothing new happened this week.. so far he asked if I know who was the guy the he should call..... I was like What the heck.... anyways I just got Greddy's number... and i gave it to him so probably they already call him.....

well I feel bad for you guys cuz to be honest doesn't look like a responsible company....
and this is the last info the I can share with you guys...

Noel we have no choice, they wont give us our money back. Whats gonna happen is once everyone loses that money, there will only be a few people left who will actually pay the money again to start another GB.

Yes that is quite unfortunate, but at the same time there will be at least a few that didn't get in on this one due to lack of trust, but will trust Noel in a gb. I am one of those. I got screwed over in that jdm heads group buy. So good luck to everyone!

well to tell the truth, I talked to them about that, and right now the blame doesn't fall on hirev it's on GT fabrications, the people that do the actual fab work, they have been behind, I'll keep you guys posted as I talk to them more.

Well, then Hirev needs to get thier money back from GT Fab cause of thier ablity to not make shit and either find another fab shop or issue refunds. It shouldnt take a yr to make one. I could be using that money for other mods.

if it was test fit without the torsion bars on the hinges that gap shouldnt naturally be there. if the torsion bars were in and its a test FG trunk, the force of the torsion bars would push it up in the corners because it would flex. The edge gaps do look a little wide.

Hey just a quick question...where there any pics taken without those boxed resting on top of the trunk? just wanna make sure we dont have more issues than meets the eye due to the weight of the boxes on there. In regard to the gap near the window I think that might be from the tension of the torsion bars pushing up on it, I think if you removed one of the two bars that gap would be minimal, the other option is to get about3/16" worth of washers between the hinges and where they bolt to the car to effectively offset the gap. we also have to consider the final product should be more layers than the prototype which would mean it would be slightly less flexible.
