Front door check strap??

So i come back from the hospital since my wife just had the baby and relized that the door wouldn't close. So i checked and found out that the thingy (check strap maybe??) was broken. Well not broken but the plastic piece had some how broke and wasn't allowing me to close the door. Now the only thing there is the metal piece that was supporting it. Meaning the metal was the support and the plastic allowed it to move by sliding back and forth when you open of close your door. Has this happen to anyone.

Bad link.. But you can get them for cheap at a pick n pull junk yard.. Congrats on the newborn.

Yeah but the nearest junkyard near here is about 50 miles away. And thanks. But has this happened to anyone?

Yes, its very common in this platform. When i bought my 00 Eclipse, both of them was broken. Then when i got the Galant my drivers side is broken.
