:BGR:
Hey currently my setup is "KYB" AGX adjustable shocks and struts, and I am running with "Eibach" Pro kit for springs.....my car doesnt even look dropped and if you look at my pics it might show the reason, should my shock be raised up like that or shouldn't the bottom sit right in that brace?
I have 17'x7 "Drag DR-08" rims with Nankang SP1 (225/45/17) tires and if you look at pics I am having rubbing issues, metal showing on inside ....I wanted to go with 18's soon, can our cars fit 18's or will I run into a lot of rubbing issues? :alienfinger:

18's can fit depending on the offset and the size tire you are running.

I don't see any picture of how your car is sitting though. If you are having rubbing issues now, it has to be your offset. I use that size tire on my 17's and I don't rub at all, granted I'm not dropped, but that is the recommended tire size for 17's.

Hmm, I'm not sure what's wrong with your pictures but I can't see anything. I know there has been a lot of 7g owners with 18 inch rims. I would ask them about that. I forgot that I was looking through the 7g boards, I thought I was on the 8g ones.

you have to move the fork all the way to the notch on the shock.

Also, your offset has got to be off if you are rubbing like that. Do you know the offset on the wheels?

unsure of the offset, i never got the offset thing, i just know the wheels are 17x7 .....as for the the shocks, you mean the red should be down right? it looks like they should go down about 2 inches which would lower my car...my uncle did this to my shocks when he installed them and i never knew why...i didnt think hitting bumps could push them up like that, how do i adjust the offset of my wheels, or do they differ by the wheel? thanks

Damn dude, you got a huge signature list!

Ok youre good. Its the wheel offset, but you rub there only when you have the steering all the way when trying to make some sharp turn. i have 225/40/18 with 18x7 with 45 offset and I rub very little at the same spot.

Make sure you have the that notch on the back of the shock that goes into the fork. When I had my AGX, I didnt tighten the bolt enough and the weight ripped the notch, so I had to adjust it every time I took it apart and then tighten the bolt a lot,

From that picture, I think, youre already missing the notch, so make sure its tight enough, so the shock doest slide down and rub against the axle.

Youre ride height is on spot for AGX and Pro kit. If you just bought them then youre gonna have to wait till they sag a bit. Also, what springs did you use - 7g Galant or 2g Eclipse. 2g Eclipse are a little shorter in the back which will raise your car in front.

Take a picture of the whole car, so we can see the front and back

i just thought with the setup i bought it would sit lower, i guess it will look better with 18's , less gap between tire and fender.

your car sits nice on the 18's....if I wanted to go lower could I keep the Kyb agx's and maybe switch out the springs with some Tein's or anytype anyone can recommend? i read the specs on prokit and its like 1.2 front 1.0 rear and tein's are 2.2 front and 1.5 rear ....
