Hello to all!
Hope that I´m right....
I try to get everything about the Mitsubishi Galant, meanwhile there I have four of them in my stock, and I hope that number 5 will appear within the next six month...
I´m German, live in Hamburg, I´m 46 years old and spend most of my time in screwing and repairing my old Mitsu´s.

Here some pics of my beauties....

Every year one of them is taken out of daily duty and comes into my garage. There it is stripped up to the bones and gets new brakes, exhaust, clutch and so on. At least the corrosion-protection is renewed and everything will be rebuild.
These cars have no rust, only the color has some spots from little stones on the road...
So they run daily three years and one year for maintannace. Technical they are as brand-new. And everyone of them knocks the 200km/h on german highways...

You are a true Galant enthusiest! What is the 5th one you are looking to get? vr-4?

No, I´ll be in the US next month and try to import a 2009er Galant Ralliart to Germany. Mitsubishi stopped selling the Galant in Europe in 2004. The biggest engine here was the 2.5 L with 163 hp. But don´t know if I can buy it - Mitsubishi forbids selling cars in US to european residents. And there is no warranty for Europe...

VR-4 wasn´t offered in Germany...

We´ve no speed limit and Mitsu only sells the Evo with a strong engine - all other cars are max. 150 hp....

I want those Sapporo headlights :)

You wouldn't happen to know where to find a digital gauge clusters for the Sapporo?

@ All: Thanks for the welcome - hope that i can help sometimes, in the last 20 years I had more than 30 Mitsus... And except a 1999 Galant EAOW none had problems with rust. I had to bring it to the junkyard after 7 years, there was no chance to repair it...
@drybear: See you drive an 1988 Galant Sigma - is it the US-version of the Sapporo or a kind of Diamante? I´m on the search for the digital clusters, too, but it seems that they where only used in cars for the japanese market. I haven´t got any part-number.
of it, even not in caps...
@rayth: Do you know the top-speed of the ralliart? I read that it has the 3.8 mivec inside, think that will run like hell... What about quality aand how it is made? I think I can´t expect perfection like Mercedes, but older Mitsus where quite equal...

My Goodness, I forgot my toy....

There is still one more Mitsu in my stock. My toy, my mule, my "the weather can´t be too hard" car....
A 1988 Mitsubishi L300 AWD, I think in US it´s named Delica.

Formerly used as a transporter for roadies it´s now my towing-mobil when i buy a new car, a friend will take a visit with his Eclipse on the farmers field or when snow and ice stop traffic - this cars breaks through....

Yes, my US Galant Sigma (later just called the Sigma in 1990) is the equivalent to the Sapporo in the Euro market, and the V3000 in the Australia/New Zealand. The Sigma was replaced by the Diamante/Magna in the US and Australia/New Zealand markets in 1992.

The Delica is extremely rare in the US, but I think is a popular import into Canada.

the top speed for the ralliart is limited to 135 but theres still room to go if we can ever get past the governor (someone is currently working an ECU flash)... 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 15 seconds... fun to drive too cause you can feel the mivec kick in.. the engine is the mivec 6G75, 3.8L V6... 258 hp and torque... same engine and drivetrain as the latest generation eclipse which also means almost all of the performance parts for them will fit the galant.. and just FYI the only years of the Ralliart are 07 and 09.. they arent putting them out again in 10

@ Rayth: Quartermile in 15 seconds? Sorry, that doesn´t seems to be quick... That´s what I reached with my 1992 Colt Gti - and that had only 150 hp... And 135 is not fast enough on our highways - every Volkswagen Turbodiesel will beam me from the track. 155 - 160 mpH is a must...More would be better, there are a lot of BMW and Merces that are open and I hate leaving the left lane....

haha no one has cracked the governor yet but people are working on an ECU reflash.. the car is definitely capable of more than 135mph... oh and you're right about the quarter mile being a little slow i double checked and people are doing 14.4
