license plate re-location

i don't like the way the license plate looks on the front bumper right in the middle. so where have you guys re-located the plate on the front end? just trying to go for a different look than what i have and don't want to get pulled over for not having it. thanx in advance

technically, the license plate is supposed to be on the outermost part of the bumper (I'm pretty sure at least) so having it in/behind the lower grill like some members have done is actually not legal. I'm pretty sure they got away with it though. I believe G_Spot has the plate mounted on one side similar to the Evo X, but coming out of the lower section of the bumper

hey wats emerson.... well I thought the same thing for the liscence plate... I dont feel with the oem position... as my own opinion I like how the evo come with it and some jdm hondas..... so I decided to move a lil bit to the left....!!!

problem is its hard to do because theres such a curve there.

I put mine facing out on the dashboard of the driver side windshield.... Not sure if that is illegal or not but I've seen other cars have it like that and I haven't gotten pulled over for it since I put it there a month ago.

by having ur plate there, not only will you get a ticket for no front plate, u will get a ticket for obstruction of view.

every state has their own requirement, but california is strict (because of the stop light camera revenue). but it's kinda like HID's, you won't get hassled if you are not obnoxious w/ pink lights aimed high... as long as the plate is viewable on the front bumper, you should be ok.

yeah, i understand. we have those at every intersection too.


i was driving a Murano from our place to the Nissan dealer for a recall and had a State Trooper parked on the highway follow me. once i turned into the dealership he kept going. and i heard that the state troopers are the only real hard-asses around here when it comes to motor vehicle violations.

youll have to get the really strong double sided tape. I forgot what it's called. But its actually what I am using to hold the plate on my CF trunk so I didn't have to drill

You can use that Loctite double sided adhesive. You can buy it at almost any hardware store or even wal-mart for $8-$10. Thats wat I have for my M3 carbon spoiler on my CF trunk. That relocator wont go nowhere with that.
