Hey everybody!

I'm was a [still am?] die hard Honda fan. I almost had me a 2002 Accord coupe permanently. But...

I love my Mitz.

I recently acquired my 2002 Galant for my 17th birthday in May, so i thought i would join. Hope to find much help in the future! :icon_mrgreen:

Hah, it could happen.

My ride runs great. My aunt told me she has had the radiator, thermometer, tranny i believe and something to the engine block done. I only had to get new spark plugs after a misfire this week and two new tires. My next task is KYB struts.

I don't want to start asking a Q right here, but I have 175,953 miles on my dash. I want to do some upgrading here and there but is it really worth it after the mileage? Again, she runs so well and i can still punch on it [when i need to].

What do you think?

I think you need to start with changing the thermostat instead of the thermometer........ ROFL.. J/P.... The question is. What do you plan to do with this car? 175k miles doesnt really mean much if its in good running condition and maintenance has not been abandoned. First and foremost you should ditch the auto transmission and swap to a 5 speed. Read up about it. It can be done, its a nice upgrade and youll love your car 1000x more. When i did my 5 speed swap i fell in love with the car all over again. Its a totally different feeling. Its more responsive and overall just worth every painful moment of installing the shifter cables (worst part for the 7g IMO).

a few questions
4g64 (I4) or 6g72 (V6)
Future plans?
why not just go all the way with coil-overs rather than oem replacement struts

and fyi most 3g eclipse parts work on our cars

WELCOME and :( because there are now members younger than me

Always a good day when we can get someone away from what every other person is tuning.

The struts are seriously gone. I feel like i'm floating in my uncle's Cadillac. I will have those replaced in a few weeks. I thought i would just get some lowering springs while my friend who owns a shop will install the struts. I'll save that for another thread.

BTW, its a four cylinder ES. My plans were to get a intake, Tint, and possibly rims later down the line. Clean stuff, not too much.
