Whats the total tint percent after 35% tint added on our cars? I just put on 35%, while the state only allows 35% all around max. So im guessing it might be illegal?

the factory glass is slightly tinted.

the factory glass is tinted at 90% i think. When i put on 20% tint over my factory glass, the police offiicer's tint meter said my tint is really 11%

lol what do u mean dont worry about it? You guys think i'll be hassled by cops or fail my inspection?

You are right. I got 35% on mine, and when I was pulled over I was metered at 24-25%.

Would I worry about it if your state has inspections? Yeah. We don't have them in MN so I just get harrassed by cops once in a while. Nothing serious.

x2, trooper read 24% on my 35% tint, but legal limit in Texas is 25%, so not a big deal for me!

i have 35% all around.......legal limit is 50% up front (in my state)

i've never been hassled by cops

Me neither... until they figured out the city where I lived and worked. I supposed writing a letter to the Chief of Police in my town questioning an officer's handling of a situation didn't help either. I try to stay one step ahead of them at all times LOL.

yeah. local cops here dont care either, but state troopers love to get you for it (or so ive been told.) i figure if i start getting in trouble, i'll get the front redone. until then, leave it.

WTF? Tint Meters? Never heard of this in L.A.! I would figure they would have such things here as well...

So im guessing my 20% all around is to dark? lol then i got 5% in the back... though it seems weird i never gotten pulled over (knocks on wood) -shrugs- but then again i do live in texas...

welcome ,i have 35% on the sides and 20% rear and i havent had eny problem yetwith city or state popo..
