It should flush up.. Maybe you have it at a weird angle. Also make sure that your torch converter is in all the way and lined up on the splines that might be why its not going on right... Whatever you do dont force it because that ois when you screw somthing up....

no we didnt force it but the thing is the front guide pin is lined up and goes in but the back pin doesnent.... the 95 has DSM tags and my old 96 has Mitsu tags i am putting the 96 e=ngine in the 95 car with the 95 tranny

dsm tags dont matter as they were all made at the same plant and the dsm tags stopped going on cars after 95 including the eclipses and talons

they all have the same model tranny as well.. if something isnt lining up id check more than just what your trying to make fit cuz one misalignment always causes trouble

all trans from 94-98 should fit.

ah i forget the name of these things, but they are sit either in the tranny or the block. they look like small cylinders and you push the tranny bolts thru. sometimes they are stuck to the tranny sometimes they are stuck to the block. if you have one of them on the tranny and one the block for the same hole then it wont be flush. i caught one like that when i was switching trannies back in the day
