View Full Version : ATTN: NY members. My GSX was stolen
Please be on the lookout for my 1999 Eclipse GSX. It was stolen from outside my house in Flushing, Queens today. It has bronze 5zigen wheels, red Sparco seats, a big front mount intercooler, and Florida tags. It also has red paint transfer on the rear driver side bumper.
Please let me know if you see it, or even call the police. My number is 646-537-5977.
There are not many 2gs on the roads anymore and the visual mods make it one of a kind. I am hoping someone spots this soon.

Holy Shit man!!!! Im so srry if I was near NY I would deff keep an eyes out for it but Imma tell me friend Chris that lives out in NY and sister in State Island give them the pix and keep an eye out. I believe his brother is a cop in NY so ill ask about it man...damn fucking people. I hate these fucking lazy shity damn poor dont wanna do shit low life fucking criminals.

keep an eye for parts on ebay or craigslist if they dont find it in one piece.. i hope they do man.. how long ago was it taken
im checking craigslist and ebay but i wont hold my breath.
btw, I called police 3 times in the past 3 hrs and still no one has shown up yet

They steal DSM now? Probably ran out of Honda Civics so they take the next best thing. Sorry about the loss hope you can recover it in one piece.

damn aaron I am keeping an eye out and telling some friends in the area. I am in a lot of towns from flushing to kings park for my job so if its any where between Nassau and Western Suffolk I may spot it.

Thanks guys. Eclipses are pretty rare to see on the streets nowadays. With its visual mods and dent on the rear bumper makes it one of a kind. Its also got a loud exhaust that sets off car alarms and a GReddy type-s BOV. Hopefully it attracts attention and someone will see/hear it driving around.
I never got a chance to take many pics of the car. Here are some pics of when it was in Miami.

What happens mostly with stolen cars in US ? Here we mostly didn´t get them back, because they disappear in directions former USSR... Or, if the car is full equipped, the empty body will be found after half a year on a field or in a forrest....

the last thing on my mind when I walk out to my car is whether or not it's still going to be there.
that has to be nearly as unbelievable and hard to cope with as losing someone close to you. hope there is at least a glimmer of hope that things are better than they seem with the car!

thanks for the concern guys. The GSX is back. The wheels, seats, headunit and spare tire were removed. The clutch is also done. It doesnt go into gear, it just screeches horribly. Theres also few new dings on the bumpers. Hopefully those can be buffed out. The car will probably be dormant for the winter until It gets warmer out to work on it

this is how it looked in the lot. The tow lot put the wheels on/under it. They said they found it on the floor and had to drag it onto the floro to get it onto the flatbed. :(

It almost looks as if someone who knows you (or a friend of a friend) knew what they wanted from your car.

Obviously not a PRO, since they didnt know how to drive stick and only took the guido parts. common thug theft; rims, stereo and seats.
It's easy to open a 2G (found out 200 miles away from home). With frameless windows all you have to do is pop the window open just a tad bit at the top then use a rod to open the door because of the way Mitsu designed the door/lock combo.
Proto is right. I broke into my own 2g once when the key cylinder was frozen. Just need to get a nice long hook to pull open the handle

or just new security system. mine sounds like a fire/police vehicle. lol. i caught this old guy trying to open my door when i was walking around in the mall. my keys went off when my car was in the parking garage, i ran over to see this old guy yankin on my handle. im like wtf are you doing. thought it was his car. anyway the distance is really good and if the door opens with the alarm set, everyone will know it. should think about it anyway.

i have an older model, but this one looks exactly the same, its by the company scytek. i can make a video of it if ya want, mainly i have it for the auto starter. this also rolls your windows down with a push of a button, its pretty sweet tho i had my windows disconnected because i kept accidently hitting the button lol. the range is excellent like i said before. Not sure if this is a trusty site, but i got mine off ebay.

dude im really sorry to hear that your paying out of pocket for all this and i think its rediculous even if you dont have that coverage as its not like you ruined it all.. couldnt they have technically gotten prints and ran it through their system to find a match to eventually get the ppl who did this then you sue them and they pay and go to jail? thats what id want. id be glad to have the car back, but id also want whoever did this to rot in a cell for a while

Sorry this happened to you man. I know how it feels. In time you'll forget that someone else had her for a while, especially if you get different wheels and seats, she'll feel like a brand new car. I washed the shit out the interior of mine when I got her back, some antibacterial soap and threw new parts on her, and I'm almost happy now she got stolen since she's better than ever. Good luck getting her back to her sexiness.

I am sure many would agree, I think you should start a PayPal donations account and a sticky thread on the rebuild of this car. I'm sure many would agree and be willing to donate whatever they can to see this car up and running again. Not only do you do your part here on the forums as a MOD, but you assist others when they need it.
Anyone else think this is a good idea?
I didnt take any other pics besides the one I posted. Theres nothing special about it. Its just an interior missing seats, radio and center console unscrewed but i'll see if I can take a pic this weekend

glad u got it back. take ur time w/ it, i know u and it will b fine bro. could have been way worse. seats, wheels, clutch and HU are small things considering what could have been taken or what condition the car could have come back in... plus this is not ur daily so it doesn't inconvenience u too much! considering all things, i'm glad you got the car back and that itis repairable.

I had no tools so I used 2 sticks.
