Hi, I am Matt the proud, or not, owner of a 2001 Galant ES, 4g64, The car has a little over 130,000. It needs a little tlc, but hell i got it for free, the transmission slip, low on coolant, has no oil when i pulled the dipstick only a white chaulky powder:scared:, so i plan on swapping the motor and the trans, I am going to manuel, and hopefully a 4g63t just hoping

Well welcome to TGC Matt, thats awesome that you got the car for free, and itll be a great project to work on. The white powder part Im not sure what was hidden in that motor but hey I think your talking about a 4g64 swap with a DOCH head.

Well the only 4g63T swap I know of is an Evo 8 motor swap, I think thats what you mean right?

But hey so far so good, post some pix up for us

Yes one of the EVO series, since the eclipse, or talon 4g63t is 180'd to our cars. Pics should be up in two to three weeks since the car is at my grandpa's. i didn't feel safe driving 180 miles to my house with the condition of the motor and trans.
