With B2NX over and past us, I have talked with several people about the idea of having a National Meet down in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area in 2010. The weekend would be over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend and consist of a trip over to The Tail of the Dragon (Hwy 129), a drive on the Blue Ridge Skyway, drinking, cruising, hanging out and hiking (if interested). I was also planning on some type of car show or cookout in the Great Smokey Mountains.

Black Bear's Hideaway Gatlinburg Cabin Rental in Black Bear Falls (http://erainthesmokies.com/a_black_bear_s_hideaway.html)

I was looking into this cabin. We (Tara and I) stayed in an ERA cabin this past year and had a great experience. We are limited to finding cabins that are pet friendly (since Walle and Bella will be coming with us). Black Bears Hideaway sleeps 12 and I remember driving past it last year. Paved roads up to the front door IIRC and there are plenty of other cabins right in the area.

Both sleep 10 people.

Black Bears Hideaway would be $95+tax per person for a 5 night stay *pay for 4 nights, get the 5th night free*
Both Bears Feet Adventure and Cubs Crossing would be $104+tax per person for a 5 night stay

Yes kiddies thats right 95-104 dollars per person for the whole weekend, thats a hell of a deal. Hotel rooms in the area start from 59.99 per night with a quality hotel room going for 89.99+ per night. These cabins are 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, 12 miles from Pigeon Forge and about 35 miles east of the Dragon.

I think we will start a list in January. People can sign up from January 1st to the 21st at which point in time we will have a firm list of people. From January 21st until Feb 1st the people on the list will have that time span to send a deposit in to myself (or whoever wants to set up cabins). Cabin rental will be placed on Feb 1st.

After Feb 1st:

If you are on the list and have paid, you are guaranteed a spot in a cabin.

If you are on the list and have not paid, you are not guaranteed a spot in a cabin.

If you are not on the list but want to pay, you will either be refunded your money or you will take the place of a person who was on the list but didnt pay.

If you are not on the list and you didnt pay, you will be staying at a hotel and/or missing out on the best meet of the year.
