For over a year now my 1995 Galant smokes when first started in cold weather like 40 degrees or lower. The smoke is blue which indicates an oil issue. I have done a MMO piston soak and even replaced the valve seals but it still only smokes when the outside temperature is low.

One time the outside temperature was 20 degrees and when I started the engine it looked like a bomb went off. I got out of the car thinking it had caught fire.

Any advice on my next steps would be appreciated because this is becoming embarrassing.

Mine is doing the same thing, but i know i have bad valve seals and the smoke is white. Plus in cold weather you have lots of condensation in the exhaust and cylinders. So no worries. Just do a compression test just in case. If its around 200 then youre ok.
