Hey all I just joined the Forum today.

Got my Ralliart back in Feb. and immediately went looking for HIDs and info regarding the install But with all the older galants out there is hard to find info that i know deals with my model and not just older ones.... Questions:

1. What HID kits would you all recommend I have been looking at http://www.hidxenonheadlights.com/ ... Any thoughts?

2.how do I disable the DRLs (again I have a 2009 Galant Ralliart with projectors)

3. Most of the sites I have seen with HIDs say the install is easy and can be done in minutes.... This true?

Thanks for the responses or points to other threads !!

welcome to TGC! Most people in general will tell you 6,500k is the best and brightest option. Any higher you loose light output, but gain color temp. if its a plug and play kit, they truly do take min to install!

Any thoughts on where to buy (i.e. the site I mentioned is it good / sham)?

^^ looks ok, i personally havnt bought anything from that site before. I purchased my kit off ebay and have had no problems with it at all! i have 30,000k(dark blue) for show, and 8,000k (blueish tint) for regular everyday driving.

if i'm not mistaken, 4500 is the best light output (brightest white) but i've got 8000 in mine and they work great

4300-4500 is the brightest color and that is also OEM for most vehicles. Also DDM tuning is the best company for HID's that i have ever had

Yeah
www.ddmtuning.com
they have a sale on right now !
but take a look at the color chart they have there and just do some reasearch like on youtube on what colors you like. just keep in mind what showtime said "4300-4500" is the brightest.

wow thnx ppls for all the replies so quick... already seems like mods are like gambling start out small time but end up getting hooked quick haha

EDIT: Also prishiate the walk thru w/ pics on the DRLs walked out of work popped the hood and 2mins later I was on the road DRL free!!!!

LAST EDIT SWEAR: Where did you all who did HID Conv mount the driver side ballast.... realllllllly tight quarters over there... unlike the passenger side where I have acres of space to mount the ballast?

procksa49er Welkome to the Forums.

Yea i want to know about the ballasts placement.

N-E 1? any possible PIX's will ttly help too!

Also taking into consideration what showtime said:

"' 4300k-4500k is the brightest. ""

Would you guys agree that 8K - 10K on the lows and 4300k to 4500k on the Fogs would look awesome. I mean I know that the yellow-ish fog lighs (that JDM thing) is basically the same of above, but in my personal opinion i wouldn't wanna try this on my 9Gts cuz' I don't think it'll look good. Plus my car is silver :s

I think that a lil blue-ish on the head and silver solid white or platinum white on the fogs would be the way to go . . . at least for me.

Agrees/disagrees?

you want 4500k for lows that'll be best possible output like many have said the higher you go the less output your gonna get...3k for fogs which is tunerish..but it is probably the best for fog,rain...

from a distance it may look like 6000k because of the lense flicker, but like people keep saying....it is around 4300K-4500K

I contacted Brianj from club9G and Im awaiting his response in regards to that fog lights harness/relay/bypass thingy so you can have your fogs on an off at your discretion. [Thanks "Team Helotes"].

Now im looking at DDM's HID kit slim ballast kit for 49.95 + shipping for both headlights and fogs.

what you guys think, Good deal?

BTW happy new years!
