question about check engine light

i have a 98 galant es and i bought a ob2 computer scanner but i can't read it what can it be

Its most likely not setup with software to read Mitsubishi's. Check your manual for the scanner to see if it was equipped with that in the software.

what kind of scanner did u buy? i have walmart obd2 scanner and it has worked on every post 96 car that ive tried it including Mitsubishi

no i bought one from internet its vchecker but my brother it work and other people work but even autozone dont work
