FG hood or not?

Im thinking about getting a fiberglass hood or if they still have fitment issues then i guess i have no choice but to get the carbon fiber one and just get it painted over (no offence carbon fiber guys) i want to color match it and repaint the whole car.

I also need mesh ideas lol the big gapeing hole look just isnt cutting it anymore lol.

Im trying to finish the PS of my rims with the spokes (bars) color matched its a it a b!tch to get a good match on them. lol

If you made some aggressive eyelids to throw on there, with that bumper, your car would look soooo fucking intimidating and beastly, IMO. Just sayin :)

Haha it's all good, as long as you don't act too aggressive lol. Idk, I like eyelids a lot. As for your original question, I can't say the fitment is good or bad, haven't owned a FG monster hood, but I can give you my 2 cents and say it'd look good color match haha.

I say cf and color match. Its stronger and lighter. you have to mount hood shocks though, or is that the trunk? either way hood shocks look better and cf is lighter. :)
Your gonna have to paint anyway so I just say toss in the extra 200 do it right first time.

hood shocks are those the pins that hold the hood down insted of the latch i dont like the idea of someone opening my hood at the mall or somewhere :icon_sad:

No and you can get ones that lock with a key. You can mount your stock locks to the cf the shocks are what holds it in place so it doesnt fly away when its up and makes it easier to close. Mrjaydeeone said if you mount them upside down they dont slam shut either.

Damn, I miss that bumper!! Kinda glad it's gone,though. I got really tired of inching over speed bumps and stuff. BOT: If you have the funds, I would go CF;screw the FG hood and paint. And why haven't you mounted your fogs? Going another way other than stock? They weren't that hard to mount for me...

The cf ones from what I see fit nicely. Dont know if they fixed fg ones. I love fiberglass its fun to play with, but not something I would put on a daily.

haha you wont be all show and no go anymore. Although I still think my 2.5 I6 bimmer could out run a galant with a stock 3.5 in it. If not it would be pretty close I think.

Now if only my Galant could outrun my bimmer like I want it to :(
I am considering making the Galants engine .1L bigger then the bimmers and some other mods in there too I know this is the expensive route, but its unique too so I may just take it to see what its like to stand out..

I see what your saying. the clear heads do match the car with all the shiny parts. What are you gonna do about the side vents next to the lower opening in the front bumper. Fogs maybe? About the thread I would say a color matched CF hood.

Yeah thats where I am going when I replace hood since someone in an SUV dented it in parking lot and left. I always park 6 in from front line to be safe and they still hit me :(
