have a code that read u1108 is this a fix that can be done at home or is it something more

Code U1108 shows me:

Meter CAN Timeout/Not equipped

I don't know what that is, so I'll just let the experts chime in and give their thouths.

seems like traction cointrol but having the four cylinder i dont have traction control
