how to open the antenna

Anybody know how to open the antenna mast. I heard some people use a thick screwdriver but i havent tried.

I have a special socket from snap-on to unscrew the retaining ring. it is like a regular socket with little teeth sticking off. worked great. you can use a screwdriver and hit it with a hammer to turn, but if you slip you scratch. be careful

where did u get the socket?

from the snap-on dealer where I work. I work at gm dealership so I have tool guys come around. If you really want I can get you one, but you can probably get it at your local auto parts store or pepboys, call around
