i did some searching on this but really only found info for the i4, my car smokes a bit when its cold and when idling i can smell oil burning, i also changed my o2 sensor the other day and when i was under the car i saw alot of oil everywhere, is there a tutorial on changing it? and also i looked at the cover near the firewall and it didnt look like it was leaking but the front one does, should i change them both anyway?

Sounds like you need to change the valve cover gasket.. There shouldn't be anything wrong with the valve cover itself..

yes, change both, i believe thre is a 'diy' on it if not look at the tutorial on a changing the plugs, it will explain how to remove intake in order to get to valve cover by firewall.good luck.
