cool....when we went to st maarten there is a bar/ grill that is actually right at the end of the runway. i forgot the name of it offhand but it was like thier big attraction. the international airport is real small there. the planes actually take off and land right over you. and at that point i would say no more then 150-200 feet. you can actually used to be able to get closer and stand by the fence that blocks the runway but it has been closed off now. too many people were trying to hang on the fence as the planes when by and ended up flying away themselves and getting hurt. i believe they said it was the only place that actually has an airstripthat people can still go to the end/begining of the runway like that.

man thats awesome i been to st.maarten a couple times to never realized this is the place for that lol...is this in maragot or the dutch part?

its on the dutch side outside princess julianna airport.
i believe the only planes on the french side are small single engines
