v6 timing belt

my 00' gtz has 136k on it.... runs real good! but im worried bout the timing belt. does any one know when to change it? and god forbid it "pops" will i bend valves!!!!!! or worse!???

should be changed around every 60,000. If the belt has never been changed before, change it as soon as possible. If the belt does snap, you are likely to bend your valves and damage the heads of your pistons

LOL!! Ahh man.. Get that belt changed ASAP. Seriously!. If the belt pops you will definitely bend valves. I know from experience.

Timing Belts should be changed every 60k miles. This also means the Serp. belts also need to be changed if they haven't already. If I'm not mistaken, the water pump should be changed as well. 60k miles is a big milestone for maintenance.
