I searched and I couldnt find a thread like this so decided I'd start one since I'm bored.

Post your Top 5 favorite wheels of all time.

5. Volk CE28N. 17x8, +33 offset. Bronze or Gold (wheel) on White or red (car).
http://www.enjukuracing.com/images/CE28N.jpg
4. Advan AVS T5. 17x8, +35 offset. Gunmetal on Silver. I had the knock offs (Rota Battle) in gunmetal but sold them for a clutch and flywheel. I regret selling those wheels everyday. I LOVED those wheels!

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/4g63lover/baby%20g/DSCF0030.jpg
3. Rota Slipstream. 16x8, +48 offset, with a 15mm spacer. Polished on silver. I like the Rota versions, not the Spoon or Regamaster versions because the Rotas come polished. The Spoons and the Regamasters dont.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/bigbluetotoro/DSC_0034.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/bigbluetotoro/DSC_0059fdsa.jpg
Bigbluetotoro pulled it off VERY well IMO. Just needed MOAR low and a spacer.
2. BBS RS. 16x7.5, +35 offset, with a 5mm spacer. Colormatched center with polished lip on any color as long as the centers are color matched.
http://www.ckadett.de/felgen/bilder/damals/11.jpg

Last but not least my favorite wheel of all time!

1. Volk TE37. 17x8, +33offset. White on Athletic silver (Skyline R34 color). I've loved this wheel ever since I first saw them on the first Gran Turismo. I WILL have these wheels on my Galant once I get all the stuff I want to do to it done and painted.

idk if these are my all time favorite, but i'll probably be going with some this summer.
they look pretty good, but the main selling point is that they're 10 lbs less (each) than the stocks.

Nice wheels but I CAN NOT stand wheels with 2 different bolt patterns. To me they make the whell look cheap and like the maker did not care enough to make 2 different wheels.

x2 on that. my first set of rims had univeral pattern and i hated it. that is one reson why i like enkei they dont carry many wheels with that. The RP05s to me just look really clean and shuld really look good with some brembos

Sometimes the extra bolt pattern is not functional. having the extra holes saves weight.

which ones the F or BACCARAT? they both are pretty much show wheels, the BACCARAT being more conventional. either way both are VERY rare and are super nice. the F are pretty ridiculous but are so ridiculous they actually look nice mounted... i've seen them in person and pictures do not do them justice.

like i said, they are not "normal". they are meant to be a show by themselves... that's why they are not average and boring; they are instantly recognizable as VEILSIDE:

the rear is a vrg extension lip...its aftermarket but the bumper itself is the vrg one...the front actually looks like it may be a little different...it looks smoother then the lip on my old vrg bumper and a little lower as well...although the basica shap looks like its the stock one, i dont think that is either...i remember seeing a few kits available for the vrg setup as far as full lip kits etc...not sure what that ones called though

did you ever think that your values are not everyone's values. $3000 wheels are nice, not baller. my wheels were significantly more than $3000, so were alot of our wheels (CALI, BILLET, ICEDOUT, etc.) and i don't consider any of our wheels baller... actually given the amount of work and the cost of the other parts used on those cars, nice wheels are simply appropriate. baller is the ASANTI's i posted.

and do you even realize you just called everyone who bought their wheels new stupid? don't be confused, not everyone is limited to your budget.

Those series Asanti's aren't baller...

THESE are baller Asanti's:

$2,000,000.

http://panachereport.com/channels/hip%20hop%20gallery/images/diamond-studded-wheels_12.jpg

As I picked up the duPont Registry I bought while grocery shopping today, I thought the same Asanti ad for its latest ultra-exclusive wheel set, the Asanti Black Series, would appear. As I paged through, I saw the same ad, but something was different. There were three other sets of wheels at the bottom, which turned out to be their uber-ultra-mega-expensive Diamond Collection. The base wheel, made of cubic Zirconium, was priced at $250,000, a quarter of the price of the wheel we all know of, the famous $1,000,000 Diamond/Sapphire wheel set that was displayed at SEMA and comes with a free Bentley. But there was also another wheel on the page, which hasn't gotten any of the attention of its $1 Million brother. The Asanti AFS 103 Series, made of nearly six times as many Diamonds as its brother with 1,200 Rubies sprinkled in, is priced at a monstrous $2,000,000! This is the flagship wheel set of the top series of the most expensive brand of an ultra-lux wheel company. In other words, Lexani makes Asanti which makes the Diamond Series which makes the AFS 103. These wheels eclipse their half-price brother to become the most expensive wheels on Earth. According to many reports, the Diamond Series is dead, but this ad in the January issue of the duPont registry tells otherwise. I wonder if it comes with two free Bentleys...

why do you think that konig are bad rims?........ ive had some in the pass and they did just fine .....

they are made out of tin foil. i had a set and had to buy 2 more because they bend just from looking at them. so after 6 wheels and constantly getting them made round again by a wheel repair shop i did this:

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff8/ooreelaxoo/15234294149.jpg
http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff8/ooreelaxoo/15234363525.jpg

i am not alone in my experience w/ KONIG's. look it up on google. there are hundreds of stories about KONIG's like this and pictures of spokes shattering and wheels bending like molten metal.

on top of them being soft, they are merely cheap copies (knockoffs); mine were copies of VOLK RACING AV3's. there are so many original designs made by reputable companies that there is no need to get knockoffs ever. the only reason to buy knockoffs is that they are CHEAP, but the old adage is true, u get what u pay for; and by buying cheap, you let everyone know you are cheap as well. hell you can even buy the real thing used for near the same price as the copies new. i replaced the crap KONIG's w/ real deal VOLK RACING wheels (new because i don;t personally buy anything used) and even went 1" bigger and 1.5" wider... never had a problem w/ my new forged multi piece wheels.

they are made out of tin foil. i had a set and had to buy 2 more because they bend just from looking at them. so after 6 wheels and constantly getting them made round again by a wheel repair shop i did this:

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff8/ooreelaxoo/15234363525.jpg

i am not alone in my experience w/ KONIG's. look it up on google. there are hundreds of stories about KONIG's like this and pictures of spokes shattering and wheels bending like molten metal.

on top of them being soft, they are merely cheap copies (knockoffs); mine were copies of VOLK RACING AV3's. there are so many original designs made by reputable companies that there is no need to get knockoffs ever. the only reason to buy knockoffs is that they are CHEAP, but the old adage is true, u get what u pay for; and by buying cheap, you let everyone know you are cheap as well. hell you can even buy the real thing used for near the same price as the copies new. i replaced the crap KONIG's w/ real deal VOLK RACING wheels (new because i don;t personally buy anything used) and even went 1" bigger and 1.5" wider... never had a problem w/ my new forged multi piece wheels.

i hear that. i had a set of konigs way back on my old car and they were made of mush. i cracked 2 of them and bent 3. after replacing some and getting others repaired i had enough and got rid of them

Oh how my tastes have changed.

My goal is to buy a set of all the following in the next two years (preferably in sizing somewhere between 17x9 and 18x10), we'll see.

ADV.1 5.2's I absolutely love em but at ~$1500 per, at the moment they're outta my league. I'll concede there's probably more stylish wheels out there, but these suit my taste perfectly.

CR-Kais, coolest inexpensive wheel ever IMO.

TE's are cool, until you get a non-concave one. They're just straight up ugly lol.

oakrdrs187

Yea, just showing the wheels doe, I would definitely go with a more aggressive fitment for both.

As far as VIP, this is my favorite wheel design, I don't know who made the original, I'm sure these are probably knock offs, but I saw this on a Navigator once in a magazine and loved it.
