Hi guys

Just want some advice on a quick question.

As it is raining and dirty outside i haven't had a chance to jack my car up, could someone tell me if the brake lines, the steel hard line that is, does it run from the rear all the way to the front or just connect up near the back.

im asking as i have just failed the NCT (national Car Test) as the rear brake lines apparently are in a state of advanced corrosion.
a few mechainics are telling me it will cost about 150 if they are short or 250 if they are long.

Also they are telling me itll be copper pipe they will replace it with should i avoid this and get steel as i read copper pipe isnt great

I've never heard of copper pipe used for brake lines. They are made in either 3/16ths or 5/16ths thickness. The brake lines run from the master cylinder to all four wheels. One single line runs to the rear (from the master cylinder) through a proportioning valve which distributes brake power and pressure to both rear wheels.
