I've been looking for some nice 5 spoke 17" rims to get this summer. I currently am looking at these two from TireRack, and trying not to spend too much.

Elbrus I06 (http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=I0617756545SDCI&wheelMake=Elbrus&wheelModel=I06&wheelFinish=Silver+Machined+w/Ice+Coating&showRear=no&autoMake=Mitsubishi&autoModel=Galant+ES+4cyl&autoYear=2002&autoModClar=&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand)

Gram Lights T57-RC (http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=WGR033ESBS&wheelMake=Gram+Lights&wheelModel=T57-RC&wheelFinish=Bright+Silver+Paint&showRear=no&autoMake=Mitsubishi&autoModel=Galant+ES+4cyl&autoYear=2002&autoModClar=&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand)

I would appreciate your input on these and I'm open to other rims as well. Also, what's a good/common P215/45/R17 tire?

umm if you have a choice between elbrus wheels and gram lights... no brainer, gram lights... the 2 wheels don't even belong in the same post. those gram lights are normally $350-450 each, so at $99 they are a steal!

keep in mind though that the gram lights you posted are 17x8 +33mm which means if you lower the car you will need to roll the rear fenders.

edit: kept reading cause i was gonna go ahead and get them as as my spares... less than 2 in stock closeout; no wonder they are so cheap!

o yeah and if your going to get 17's, get 225/45r17... wider is better (up to a point).

ELBRUS is garbage made in china. i would suggest ENKEI, or if you are really on a budget, ROTA.

Thanks for the input! The Grams were my first pick. I know they only have a couple left but i'll probably look for something else if they don't get them back in stock, they are expensive and I don't know of another good site like TireRack.

I will be lowering the car. If I had to get other rims, what offset would I look for so I wouldn't have to roll the fenders?

well shopping at a particular site is kinda like shopping backwards (you are only limited to their selection and price)... what i suggest is finding wheels you like (in the size you want/need) then searching google for the best price.

if you want 17's, and you want to have the easiest bolt on fitament, look for 17x7.5 +45mm 5x114.3PCD w/ 225/45r17 or as close to that as possible; w/ those sizes, you will not have to worry about rolling fenders and will be able to drop up to 2.5" w/o fender/suspension clearance issues.

Thanks for the measurements. I'll do some more searching on rims. I'm just looking for a clean five spoke and maybe a seven. My G is that beige color and I think the darker silvers look better. What do you guys think?

so much fail in this post.

5x112 will not fit any galant.

there's no pictures although you promised them and left room for them.

none of your links work.

plain and simple, KONIG sucks ass (here's mine... KONIG MONSOON=VOLK RACING AV3 knockoff):

http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff8/ooreelaxoo/15234363525.jpg

i learned the hard way.

if you can't afford the real thing new, get them used for much less or get other lower priced alternatives. KONIG is one of the worst wheel brands out there and there are hundreds of other nice well made wheels out there to be had. if budget is really tight, look at OEM wheels for the EVO VII-X... made by ENKEI and BBS or other mitsubishi wheels like 9G and 3G/4G.

steel wheels are nicer than KONIG.

It's sad to see so many cars riding around with Konigs if they are really that bad. I don't like them because i see the same wheel everywhere i go almost. The Evo rims are awesome and would get some if i could find them.
