All at once, on my 2000 Galant (4cyl, Auto) the following items have stopped working:
1. The high beams (I pull back on the switch, the blue light on the dash comes on, but the high beams don't work)
2. The fog lights don't work
3. The intermittant wipers don't work
4. The high speed wiper setting doesn't work (the slow speed wipers work)
5. The mist wiper setting doesn't work
6. The windshild washers don't work (these I really miss)

All other functions, electrical or otherwise, seem to work fine.

I checked and re-checked every fuse, in the car and under the hood.

I looked at the wiring schematic in the Haynes Manual and the fogs and high beams seem to run through the "Front ECU". I could not find anything on the schematic that referenced the wiper circuits.

Does anyone know if the extra wiper functions are controlled by the "Front ECU"?
Is there an actual device called the "Front ECU"?
Where is is located?
Is it a dealer only part, or would a parts store carry it?

I would try changing the clock spring.. Is your cruise control working?

I saw a module stamped "front ecu" in the engine fuse/relay box, working on my electrical issue. It was gray and on the outside(driver's side) edge of the fuse box.
