I have some used Megan Lowering Springs and i want to do my drop before MOD this year. but the problem is that they have some rust on them. I was thinking of powder coating them if the price is right. But im debating of either using these, or buying new ones. I just want to get some feed back. Get new springs, or used springs do the same job? i just want some piece of mind when i install these

I guess it depends on if the previous owner noticed any sag with the springs. I bought my Progress springs used from BGR. They already had 60,000+ miles on them, but he said they didn't sag, and when I installed them on my car they looked great. They're holding up just fine too.

I purchased my Tein's from boostzealot almost 2 years ago without any issues.

if its just surface rust then don't worry too much about it. just clean them up and put a layer of paint over them to keep them looking pretty.

yeah most likely its surface rust use a fine grain sand paper to see if rust comes off and its just surface rust if it is then I would suggest sanding it all around and either powder coating or painting.

you need to choose sandpaper that is rough enough to remove the surface rust and the loose paint around the it.

The cost to powdercoat wheels can be around $50 per wheel, depending on where you go. I would imagine springs being cheaper.
