Hello everyone, I installed 12k HID lights about 3 months ago and now they just started flickering and went out on me. :no:What could be the problem the bulbs, fuse or a bad connection some where? Appreciate the help, thanks...

We could use more info like what brand are they, what model car,do they come on at all, do you hear any noise from the ballests, or any melted wires?

and Welcome to TGC

Usually when they start to flicker this means a weak connection. Mine used to be fine, then when i started up the car with the lights already on they would flicker or turn off. Mine was just a weak connection. They make wires that are fused directly from the battery to solve this flickering problem.

it means 12K is ugly...

bad connection, or not getting enough power.

flickering usually means the bulbs are going out (atleast on factory hids) they will come on flicker a few times then just go out, sometimes you can turn them on and off a few times and they work for a little while.

thanks for info but that might be the problem because it worked good for 3 months. It just happen today the wire with the terminal connection that goes on the battery started melting that came with 12k hid kit. Where can I get or order the wires that will solve this flickering problem?

just go to autozone or some where get you some crimp caps and some thicker guage wire cut off all the melted wire crimp on the new wire and connect it back

Relay harness protect your H.I.D, resolve problems with flickering due to low electrical current, and problem with one headlight turn on during initial start up
