Bumper Reinforcement

Yeah, This is a double post. Sorry but no one seemes to be responding to my first one located on https://www.thegalantcenter.org/showthread.php?t=40916

Hey there guys. I had a cyber 2 front bumper when i bought the car, and it wasn't installed well to begin with, but i got into an accident and went and bought another cyber 2 bumper. Now i had installed it, and now it slowly coming off. I'm about to steel bond it. But my MOM is kinda upset that there is nothing behind the bumper in case of impact, and i mean she's right. It's strictly bumper to metal. Is there Something That i can add in between to cushion some shock or something?

I've looked into it.. and i think its called
FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER

im finding some for other years to be as cheap as 20 bux but the one for this year is about 159 USD. Now can i buy one of these and like apply it to my car wherever so that it fits, and or cut/ carve it for this exact bumber? I was going to used a steel bonding epoxy to put it together. Which now i realize may not be the best idea.. Screwing it may be better, just in case i need to remove it, However i might steel bond the actual bumper on. RIght Now its being HEld Up by Tape.

also how would one go about it if i wanted to instal the vr4 bumper onto this car with this kit...

Sounds LIke a good idea to make it from Scratch actually. Especially considering i have the cyber 2 Kit So some cutting will be involved regardless.

Uh..i know this thread is kinda old..but i have a question about my bumper too n didn't wanna start a new thread because there's one already here..anyways i don't have a kit or anything yet but i will later on so as of right now i have the stock 02 bumper..so my problem is that my bumper is literally hanging on by only 8 screws/bolts...3 on both ends of the bumper n 2 where the nose is..there's like a 1in - 1 1/2in gap..i think I'm missing sum sort of reinforcement? On the bumper there's like 3 extra holes on both sides where the headlights are that the bumper is suppose to be attached to and i don't have anything for me to screw or bolt into to hold the bumper in place...I'll post pics of the gap as soon as I find a camera..I'm trying to search online to see what it is that is missing n can't seem to find anything

also my car didnt come with fogs so i might need help wit wiring wen i do get fogs..im not good with wiring ^^"

Found out the car was in an accident b4 so my headlights are pushed to the right about 1/2in when installed... >.<"

Hey man. Unless you got into an accident or its a new bumper or ever messed with it.. it has a reinforcement bar. What you are probably missing is the matel piece that goes around the top. It's basically a piece that is attached to the top of the car via the chasis, and helps support the bumper off. I actually bought the reinforcement bar and got the cyber 2 kit on it.. However i have that gap cuz i took that metal piece out. because the Cyber 2 Bumper would not of fit. I'll post a video of some of the welding, however let me tell you a big mess that was. FInally got it done though. Heres a hint fellas.. Cut the bumper not the reinforcement Bar.. lol

o see i knew i was missin sumthin lol but i didnt kno where to find it..any ideas where to find that reinforcement bar? and yea the car was in an accident with the previous owner but he never told my dad so i never knew bout it until i actually looked at the car myself..i took the bumper off to see n i been riding wit out an Impact/crash bar T.T"...scary all this time it was jus bumper to metal..so after i get paid next wk imma buy the Impact/crash bar n find that reinforcement bar that u was talkin bout earlier..any ideas where i could find it or a website? i might google it first but where did u buy urs?

Know where i can find that reinforcement bar you was talking bout bobmundo123? I tried searching and all that came up were impact/crash bars....so any ideas? mayb if i have time i'll try taking one off an old 8g in the junkyard..but til then i don't mind buying one..the junk yards here are useless T.T..this one junkyard don't allow you to go inside this fence where they keep cars that has been modded up wit motor swaps, etc...i know it's dumb..but anyways if anyone could give me a link or a DIY on this reinforcement bar i would really appreciate it...xD

Thats the link of the one i bought.. A little fyi.. if you buy it.. and it doesn't slide in right.. hit it a little bit to get it to bend right.. i had to do that .. =)

And do you Have HID in those projectors? leds connected?

Mod it up.. like steel bood a rod from the chasis to the top of the bumper or something.. actually thats a little sloppy.. but i mean.. get creative man.. you got this.. currently my bumper is on there my meing screwed into the fenders,, and the chasis by the headlight screws.. i'm going to get those projectors and when i do.. im going to take that bumper of.. and put some nice hit lights under where the headlights are.. to fill up the space.. fix those lights on the bumper.. kinda get the audi look.. and then dondo it up so it looks like its part of the bumper while fixing that space problem..

LOL thankz alot bro..ill def try that..and yea i got H1 8000k HIDs for my low beam n regular H1 halogens for my high beams..as for the LEDs i hooked it up to the turn signals n my halos r wired to my corner lights so they stay on at the same time as my corner lights..theres a thread on ebay projectors on here n has tons of info bout wiring them up n everything..i had to go on there to find out how to wire them so that my high beams would work cuz theres goin to be a lil problem since our stock heads uses H4's hi/lo bulbs n the projectors uses 2 separate H1 bulbs for the HIs n LOs..also a lil heads up..at first wen u buy the H1 HIDs for the projectors ur goin to try n put them in n be like WTF??? they wont fit but the will itz a really tight squeeze..but dont force it in u gotta turn it a certain way n it will slip in on itz own..My HIDs r out atm so i got the stock H1's in right now...im orderin H1 8000k hid bulbs n they're on the way now..anyways thankz for the link for the reinforcement bar..i appreciate it alot
