Ok after I got the mirror figured out, time to deal with a less important problem. Once again this is on a 2000 Galant ES.

I've got the haynes manual but it doesn't say anything for keyless entry/remote entry/pats/etc... . I've checked all the fuses, all are good. Changed the batteries in the key fob still nothing. Tried resetting it by holding the LOCK button down for 4-10 seconds, then clicking the UNLOCK once and then letting them both go (instructions per tab from dealer). Still doesn't work.

If you put the key in the door lock and turn it twice it unlocks all the doors.

Is there anything else I can test/check/look in the manual?

Nope, you hit lock/unlock and nothing happens.

Can anyone lead me to where the reciever is for the keyless entry so that I might probe the pins???

is this a new key fob? and you should search "key fog programed" most likely it needs to be re programed.

Maybe a silly question, but is the battery in the remote working?

No, it's the original key fob that was working. It did however decrease power gradually before it quit. I'll use that search thanks.

I have previously swapped the battery from the working remote to the non-working remote but to no avail. Is it that I have to reprogram the remote before it will work again?

Well it worked except I can't program more then one key fob at a time. Can't complain though. Thanks all. I made a new thread on how I did it with pictures and a video.
