So I tried asking on one of the old threads but i guess it was too old and no ones replying. I was checkin out that tut on the diy camber adjustment but have a question. I just took my car to get aligned and asked the guy to adjust the camber the way you guys suggested buthe said he's never done that and that it was too dangerous. That the bolts could break.... then he told me he would do it for 120 bucks more! What a dick. i want to know if anyone has had any issues with this method being that alot of you have already done it. Also, my camber is off by 3.0 degrees (alot right?) now how much can i correct safely and can i take it all the way straight? thanks guys.

I think stock camber is like 1 degree of camber or something. I don't really remember. But anyway if you get grade 10.9 bolts, then those should be fine. They're working for me, and a lot of other members have done it. Some even use the grader lower (9.something) but IMO I would stick with the 10.9

Oh ok, so you mean I should only need to go 2 degrees to be to spec?

The diy thread is here somewhere.. I posted up information on getting the bolts needed really cheap.. Most hardware stores don't have them..

Take the 70 bucks and buy the kit with the washers and adjustable cam bolt/washer type deal. It lets you get it dead on and no hassle... But thats just me

^^^ I would do that. The way I drive I wouldent trust some bolts and washers even if they were hardened steel.

The Ingalls kit with the adjustable upper control arms brackets are only $44. I would invest in those.

Wow didn't realize the camber kits were that cheap. With all the trouble I had to go through to even find the right amount of bolts (had to drive all over the place), I would rather just order the kit. The kit is easily adjustable too, as opposed to the bolts method. The bolts SHOULD hold up though, considering the 10.9 bolts have a yield strength of 940 MPa (136 335.473 73 pound/square inch) and a Ultimate Tensile Strength of 1040 MPa (150 839.247 53 pound/square inch).
