Red RTV on valve covers?

Is it ok to use high heat rtv as a replacement valve cover gasket on the V6?

no use an actual gasket...it will leak if you dont

you could put some on with the gasket if you wanted...

The Valvecover gasket is enough to seal the valve covers. Don't use RTV on top of the gasket. Just make sure you dont over tighten the VC bolts, because that will warp the VC.
