Hey guys i just got a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant ES and i decided to get on here to learn a few things. I dont know very much about cars so i though joining here would be a good place to get started. Im not sure what all i'd like to do to my car so I'm open to any suggestions and i figured I'd look through here to try to get some ideas. My camera is broken right now but its off-white/ pearl colored. I hope to learn a lot on here and once again hello!

Welcome to TGC. Get a camera from somewhere because we need pics! Have anything done to your galant yet or anything in mind? I would suggest a cold air intake would be a good start

Hey I should be able to get some pics posted up here really soon. Today it rained so I couldn't wash it like i need to because of pollen. And i could borrow a camera and get pics up ASAP. Like I said i don't know much about cars at all but I will be putting a sound system in it. I've been looking around for easy mods that someone with little experience could do so if any of you have suggestions please tell me! They will be greatly appreciated! By the way it is the 2.4L 4 cyl auto. I'd like to get my dad to do a 5-speed swap for me because hes a mechanic but he won't let me do stuff to my car unless i can do it behind his back because he doesn't want me to make my car to fast. But he said once i put something on and i paid for it myself he won't be a d-bag and take it off.

welcome! As far as easy mods check the tutorial sectin and read, read, and read some more. I got my G a month ago and have done enough mods that it's my own. I will def do more but on a budget. I love the car and I'm sure you will love yours too

Welcome to TGC and as dGALANTc suggested you should check the 8g tutorial section so you can find some easy mods and how to do them. Just read and search with the search feature on the top of the site every thing you are interested on, there's tons of info here on nearly everything you could imagine to do to your 8g.
