Newbie needs help, Especially bout Speedo Galant 8G

Hi I'm new here and I found this forum just when I try to search several major parts for my Galant 8G

I'll do the introduction in here since I'm in desperate states and I'll explain why

First of All I'm from Indonesia (Any1 know Indonesia ? It's famous for Bali Island) and sorry if My english kinda sucks which make u guys hard to understand.

I'm Mitsubishi Galant 8G M/T user (6A13 2.5 SOHC V6-24) and bought it last 3 month ago (of course it's second hand car) and recently doing some several project for it

1st Problem
Right now I'm doing engine swap of 6G72TT M/T 1st generation (from GTO not 3000GT) to my Galant 8G and so far not quite good. I can't find any reference for help but I found some1 already done 6G74 swap to Galant 8G so right now I'm using that as reference though I don't know if it can help

2nd Problem
I'm looking for Speedometer of Galant Avance 2.5 V6 6A13 Manual. It's same type at my country but ours have much much more crappier interior quality including speedometer. Is there any1 that sell Speedometer of Galant Avance 2.5 V6 Manual(read up to 260 Km/h) ?

Not to mention it has different gearbox since I'm using 6G72TT (the speedometer only compatible with 6A13 and 6A13TT). So there's a huge chance the speed sensor and other sensor won't work (only the light / optitron will work since it's universal). So Any1 sell the speedometer (just exactly like at the picture) and have any suggestion bout how to match it to 6G72TT ?

3rd Problem

I'm also looking for MMCS 2nd Edition Wide screen from Facelift Galant 8G VR-4

Any1 know where I can buy it, I'm planning to install it to my Galant 8G. And any reference how to install it to Galant 8G 2.5 6A13 ?

I'm sorry if u guys have a hard time understanding it since I'm not very good in english. Perhaps some ppl from Singapore or even Indonesia will be helpful :080:

To hayase. I am not sure how much experience we will have on this forum with your platform. The 6G74 swap you were reading about is I believe a USDM swap which is completely different orientation than your engine. You may get more help from the international guys as they will have more experience with the platform. A

As for the speedometer does your speedo read 260 kph as well or is it less? Cause the speedos, I believe, will not register the same speed if the numbers are different on the face of it. For example if I swapped an M3 e36 tach into my 325i e36 the RPMs shown and actual RPMs would be different. If your speedo is the same and just looks worse so you want to swap it. The best place would be to look for it at junkyards.

6A13 out of 8g and 6g74 out of 2g Diamante have the same engine orientation.

Do not even start with the 6g72TT swap out of 3000gt cuz it wont fit. Totally different engines. Different orientation in the engine bay.

btw about the speedometer, Mine was only read up to 240 km/h and I'm aware that the speed sensor will not be the same. But I already talked to my mechanic that specialist in electrical especially speedometer specialist and he said it's no problem, the real problem is just the gearbox of 6G72TT and 6A13 is different

Unfortunately I can't join the trading rooms since I'm new here, and I'm really appreciated it if any1 can tell me where I find that speedometer (260 km/h from Galant Avance 2.5 V6)

and I took 6G72TT from GTO since if it's from 3000GT then it's completely near the impossible. Though 6G72TT from 3000GT has better hp and torque for stock. But oh well it's same engine anyway, they downgrade GTO and limit the hp cause of the regulation from Japan. Correct me if I'm wrong

well the most important things is speedometer right now since I can't find it anywhere near asia or do I just got bad luck I dunno. It's only available at Galant Avance 2.5 V6 (6A13) at Europe which is hardly difficult to gain for me

about speedometer, so far I know that speedometer is from Galant Avance 2.5 V6 M/T. Other type than 2.5 or A/T transmission only read up to 240 km/h

I'm wondering if any galant user from europe can help me :orangeno: I really want to buy it

The high contrast speedo is on my 2.0l Galant sport aswell and on the 2.0l Avance.
But its easyer to get it from Sweden or other countrys since its a lot cheaper there. We buy most of our parts from Sweden :)

yeah that's exactly the speedometer I want to buy. The only difference is that urs only read up to 240 km/h while the 1 that I want to buy reads up to 260 km/h
