hey everyone, im new to the forum. just got an 02 galant es 2 days ago. I love it, and consider it to be in pretty good shape for the money. I only have one issue with my front bumper cover, and its driving me crazy.

on the drivers side, the bumper was loose. there was like a little gap in it because the plastic thing that snaps it in was broken off. so im messing with it and realize the hole thing in the bumper were you put the screw in is broken.

anyways let me show yall the pics, itll be alot simpler than me trying to explain it lol

the red circles are where they had plastic things that snaps into the top

the white circles are were the screw slot thing is snapped

anyway to work around this

i tried drilling a little hole into it as you can see, i was going to drill another one above it so i could screw it in place. but i couldnt drill the top hole because its metal

i was thinking of maybe glueing a small metal washer where the white circles are but dont know what glue to use

anyone have any ideas? has this happened to any of yall?whats the best way to go about fixing this? its driving me nuts, as i just spent all my money on this car, and now im scared to drive it around because the streets where i live are horrible and i dont want the whole thing to fall off..

THis is what a lot of people do:

Get some JB weld and a couple of washers and glue the washer to the bumper. I suggest glueing the washer from the underside of the bumper if that makes sense. I dont have any pics but thats how I fixed a couple of my tabs that broke off too. Allow for 24 hrs for the JB weld to cure
