Hey guys, so if u have the 6G72, u know how much of a pain in the a** it is to get to the 3 spark plugs in the back of the engine underneath the intake manifold. Ive been avoiding those 3 plugs of death until I was having a cylinder 4 misfire, which left me no choice lol. So i found this link that has a really good step by step instruction, as well as pictures that really made this job a lot easier. I found it most beneficial for when i was putting everything back together and not remembering which hoses and harnesses went where. So heres the link, just thought i would share...

That Tut was mos def a God send!! Used that one about 3 weeks ago to change mine. Initially took 3 hrs to do because I was very tedious in reviewing the procedure, plus having to go to the parts store in the middle of the project. Next time I have to do this it will take considerably less time now that I've done it before.

90% of what we know about this car is 5+ years old. there are always new things to learn, but the reason things get buried is because of repetition of topics (like this).

True! I didn't think of it like that. But all the same I've been avoiding my spark plugs for about 4000 miles now. Because I usually have someone else do it but now they moved to Florida plus I really haven't had the time.

It's really not as difficult as everybody likes to make it seem. Realistically, it should take less than an hour.

Yeah, once you do it the first time you'll feel like a fool if you've ever paid the dealer or a side shop to do it. They both want to charge you for 3-4 hours of labor. So you'll save at least about $200 in labor cost and have your car back way faster when you DIY. I've avoid doing my own for 11 yrs now, so I'm glad to finally learned to do it....especially since I have 2 V6's to do it on. Good thing is that platinum plugs are supposed to last around 50K miles, so that cuts down the amount of times you'll need to do it.
