Oil Light

Oil light comes on when Im only in Reverse or Drive and when the car starts to heat up I just changed the oil pressure switch and its still doing it.

Spec: 2.4 sohc

If you're in drive and the light flickers on, drop it into neutral and see if the light stays on. It's most likely just a loose connection / open circuit, vs your sending unit or anything like that.

There is a oil sensor on the back of the block. Or is that also known as the switch your talking about? I dont remember it was a few years ago when I replaced mine. It seemed to fix the issue.

double check the oil sending switch, trace the wire for any deterioration..check oil level..

took it into the shop they said i have a pressure leak somewhere added 50 thick oil went away no more problem
