ok guys I need some help. I just got my replacement driver mirror in. my question is after I take off the cover from the inside and unscrew the bolts do I have to do any thing elses to installl the mirror? Will I have to take off the door panel or not. just trying to find out before I jump in to this. If there is any special tools or a certain way to go about this please let me know.

Thanks,

Well in my car(7g) i had to take off the door panel but that was just because one of the bolts was partially hidden behind the doorpanel. if you can get off all the bolts alls you really have left to do is unplug the wires to the mirror...thats if your mirrors are powered. There is really nothing to taking off the mirrors, just a few bolts

I too want to remove my sideview mirror (passenger side) but I'm not sure where to disconnect the lead that powers the glass. I removed the tweeter and removed the screws the hold the mirror in place but couldn't find where to disconnect the power to it. Its a 2000 LS.

Thanks

The power connnect is actually inside the panel. You will have to oopen the door panel to remove the power connect. I had to do that to replace mine. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Problem there is that there arent many aftermarket mirrors for our car. To replace them i had to go to the dealer and lost my mind. GL in your search.
